Swaroop Sagar Lake in Udaipur is an artificial lake, it was built by Maharana Swaroop Singh of Mewar dynasty during his reign during 1842-61; hence it was named after the same Mewar ruler. This Lake was created to fulfill the water needs of the residents. The Swaroop Sagar Lake is also known as Kumharia Talab, it is connected to Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake.
