Pari Mahal was built by Prince Dara Shikoh, son of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, in the mid 1600s, it is an attraction which is well known for its natural beauty and tranquility. Set right at the top of the Zabarwan mountain range, Pari Mahal is a beautiful historic monument. The architecture of the structure features Islamic architecture and styles of art which prevailed during the reign of the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan. This beautiful monument Pari Mahal is located amid seven terraced beautiful gardens that add to the beauty of the structure. The gardens have a variety of flowers and trees which give the place a serene environment.

Pari Mahal also known as the 'House of Fairies', is also popularly called as 'Quntilon', it is located at a distance of ten kilometers from the City Centre, the building has a beautiful lawn with a spring in between. The sight had some ruins of a Buddhist Monastery before the mid-1600s. Later the Mughal prince Prince Dara Shikohhad established this beautiful architecture at the same sight. Pari Mahal offers visitors a great view of the Chinar trees in the surrounding area and the Dal Lake.
