Kozhikode Beach which is popularly known as the Calicut Beach and is located on the coast of Malabar. Formerly, the beach road was known as the 'Gandhi Road' after Mahatma Gandhi visited Calicut in the year 1934. The beach has always been known for hosting public meetings. It has a long drive from Beypore in the south to Kappad in the north. The beach is perfect for discovering the stunning sunsets in Calicut. The market near is a huge spot for shopping which attracts a lot of tourists.

It is one of the most visited beaches in Calicut as the beach is in the center of the place. Beypore, Payyanakkal, and Marad; Kallayi, Kuttichira and Thekkepuram; Vellayil, South Beach and Valiyangadi; Kamburam, Putiyappa and Elathur, all beaches are the elements of the Calicut Beach or the Kozhikode Beach. This whole stretch is called the Beach Road. The beach which is located on the western side of Kozhikode town is available easily through four different roads over bridges in the city.
The other attractions near this beach are Lion's Park and an aquarium, which offers an excellent spot for kids visiting the beach. It is accessible on all days of the week from 8:00 in the morning till 8:00 in the evening.
