Jodhpur in Rajasthan

Jodhpur Rajasthan

Jodhpur is the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan and also Known as the "Gateway to Thar", it is popular for its Mehrangarh fort, blue houses, temples, sweets, and snacks. Apart from the fort, there are many places to explore in Jodhpur like there are multiple temples, lakes, shopping streets that are like a mirage from a bygone era. The mighty and magnificent Mehrangarh fort towers over the Blue City of Jodhpur; it is a magnificent spectacle and an architectural masterpiece. Around Mehrangarh’s base there is a jumble of Brahmin-blue cubes, the old city, stretches out to the 10km-long, 16th-century city wall.
... The Blue City is really blue. Inside the incredible city, there is a tangle of winding, glittering, medieval streets, which never seem to lead where you expect them to, roses and sewers, scented by incense, with bazaars and shops selling everything from temple decorations and trumpets to snuff and saris. The magic of the city lies in the city itself with hundreds of shops, eating joints; vendors and guesthouses make it a chirpy bustling city, especially near the landmark clock tower and Sardar Market. The places for sightseeing in Jodhpur make this city worth a visit.
