Hidimba Temple or Hidimba Temple is locally known as the Dungiri Temple, located away from the hustle bustle of the city is the most popular temple in Manali. This unique holy place is a four storey 24 meter architecture dedicated to the Lordess Hidimba. Hidimba Devi is a wife of Bhima and mother of Ghatothkach. The architecture style of the Hidimba Temple is entirely unique from other temples of India. It has wooden doorways, mud walls, and also a cone-shaped roof. The wooden doors have embellished pint-sized paintings of the Goddess, animals, and much more. The pillar of the doorway has the female dancers from one of the stories of Lord Krishna and also Navgrahas. The temple does not have an idol of the Goddess but a huge stone carrying her footprint is kept here. The Hidimba Temple in Manali is a proper dedication to the deity Lordess Hidimba.
... A festival is arranged in this temple in the Hindu month of Shravana every year which is celebrated in the memory of Raja Bahadur Singh, who constructed this temple around 500 years back. On the 14th of May, Another festival arranged here is a celebration of the birthday of Lordess Hadmiba every year. The local women visit the Dungri forest area and celebrate with music and dance on this time.
